• Via A2 Coastal Road: 3 – 4 hours (or much more). This route is plagued with unpredictable traffic, pedestrians, and slow-moving vehicles. It should only be used for short, local trips once you are in the Galle area.

Pro Tip: The Southern Expressway has a speed limit of 100 km/h. The journey is efficient and offers a glimpse of the countryside, but for the best coastal views, you can ask your driver to exit the expressway at the Galle exit and take the A2 for the last 10-15 minutes into the city.
